This is very obvious. If im getting to watch a movie at home, free of cost along with my family, why will I spend another RS1000 to take them all to the multiplexes. It’s the film industry or the producers who are at loss, not me. Im gaining out of piracy, so why will I not buy a cd for 50 bucks with 5 latest movies.

Common sense says I’ll think of my profit first rather than producer’s loss.

That is precisely my point.. but on the other hand.. when will these film makers and the multiplexes understand this...and act on it

Piracy, however its proponents defend it, basically takes away the author’s right to do what he wants with it. the authors put a lot of work and effort into producing movies, and pirates are essentially using the product of someone’s hard work without fairly compensating them for it.

Hi Mike,

I don’t deny the fact that Piracy is really bad.. and i totally agree with your point of view.

My argument is ... what must the organizations do to stop it? Some of the views suggested me are very practical and if implemented to some extent by these multiplexes, film makers and distributors... it may prove good for them.

Living on the other side of the world - New Zealand, Without Piracy I can’t watch alot of my favourite shows. So Piracy Does Matter - it helps those without traditional forms of access to at least be able to watch what we want.
